September 30th - Extreme Love...endures through trials.

II Corinthians 1:20
For all the promises of God in him are yea, and in him Amen, unto the glory of God by us.

You can put your trust in the promises of God. Unlike you, God has kept every promise He has ever made to mankind. If He said He will be with you, then you can take it to the bank! David Nicholas said, "God's promises are like the stars. The darker the night, the brighter they shine." An unknown author said, " I believe in the sun even when it isn't shining, I believe in love even when I'm alone, I believe in God, even when He is silent.” Do you?

Nahum 1:7
The LORD is good, a strong hold in the day of trouble; and he knoweth them that trust in him.

Do you ever wonder how in the world you are going to get through something? It can be like when you are putting the pieces of a puzzle together, and some of the pieces don't seem to fit. Just remember that God's view from up above gives a better picture of the whole puzzle. The LORD is a good puzzle-solver! TRUST Him!

Isaiah 40:29
He giveth power to the faint; and to them that have no might he increaseth strength.

You can be too proud for God to help you, but you can't be too weak. When you admit your need of God's help, you are opening the door to power and strength. Often Christians will open that door for the LORD to help them, but before long, when things are going better, their pride (self reliance) shuts the door. The wide open door is a picture of a trusting relationship with God, through which His power can flow. Ask God to help you keep the door of your heart open to His guidance.

II Corinthians 2:14
Now thanks be unto God, which always causeth us to triumph in Christ, and maketh manifest the savour of his knowledge by us in every place.

Someone observed that, "A smile is an inexpensive way to change your looks." Smiles actually make people more attractive. Christians have something to smile about every day of their lives. Christ has won the victory over sin and the grave. Christian, do you have a smile? It's an inexpensive gift that you can give to a lost world! SMILE!

Psalm 62:8
Trust in him at all times; ye people, pour out your heart before him: God is a refuge for us.

There are times when we tend to "hold in" our feelings and needs, instead of sharing them. Sometimes we don't share with other people, thinking they might misunderstand us, or not have time for us. The Psalmist reminds us that God is not only trustworthy, but He understands and knows our need to share burdens. God declares that He is a refuge, a shelter in the midst of the storm! Get out of the downpour, and come into His Presence, where there is love and peace.

II Corinthians 1:6
And whether we be afflicted, it is for your consolation and salvation, which is effectual in the enduring of the same sufferings which we also suffer: or whether we be comforted, it is for your consolation and salvation.

The verses before this verse, tell us that Paul was in the midst of some hard times. As he was suffering, he was reminded of the sufferings of Jesus Christ. One of the keys to our verse is the phrase, "which is effectual in the enduring of the same sufferings." Paul encourages us that this same mind-set becomes your salvation in dealing with your own sufferings. That will help you move to the head of the suffering class!! You can endure with the suffering Savior's help!

Proverbs 11:8
The righteous is delivered out of trouble, and the wicked cometh in his stead.

What does this verse have to do with Mordecai, Daniel, and Peter in prison? They all were delivered out of trouble, but there's more. They all were righteous men who feared and loved the Almighty God! God has an ear for His children in trouble, in spite of all the loud noise and distractions in this troubled world. Just in case you think God isn't hearing you, be corrected, He heard you yesterday, hears you today, and will hear you tomorrow! Smile, you're covered with His LOVE!

Psalm 19:14
Let the words of my mouth, and the meditation of my heart, be acceptable in thy sight, O LORD, my strength, and my redeemer.

Have you heard yourself complaining lately? Has sarcasm and negativity flavored your conversations? Think about some of yesterday's conversations. Guilty!! This can easily become a pattern if you aren't mindful of your speech. Our verse is actually a prayer to God for strength and wisdom to say the right things! It is a good verse to memorize and pray every morning before you start your day!

Philippians 4:19
But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.

Economically, these are challenging days. Although we think of it far too little, it is quite a comfort to be a child of the King. Your heavenly Father is rich in possessions that go beyond your imagination, to be able to provide for your needs. Our verse attaches these riches to Christ Jesus, understanding that they are made possible through Him. That makes your relationship with Jesus Christ the most valuable possession in your life! Do you understand what you have in Jesus Christ? EXTREME LOVE made it possible! Thank Him!
